Full cheek applies a tiny bit of poll pressure when the rein aid is applied, and prevents the bit from being dragged through the mouth. Jointed mouthpiece uses a nutcracker action and contact with the roof of the horses mouth. Can be used in dressage competitions. Helps steering with green horses.
